  • Numerical Ability: Simplification, Number Series, Quadratic Equations, Data Interpretation, Percentages, Averages, Ratio and Proportion, Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Speed, Distance and Time, Simple and Compound Interest.
  • Reasoning Ability: Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Direction Sense, Blood Relations, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Inequalities, Input-Output, Data Sufficiency.

Mains Examination: Syllabus and Exam Pattern

The Mains Examination consists of four sections:

  • General/Financial Awareness: Current Affairs (National and International), Banking Awareness, Financial Awareness, Static GK, Indian Economy.
  • General English: Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Spotting, Sentence Improvement, Para Jumbles, Vocabulary.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Data Interpretation, Number Series, Simplification, Quadratic Equations, Mensuration, Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Simple and Compound Interest, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Averages.
  • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Direction Sense, Blood Relations, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Inequalities, Input-Output, Data Sufficiency, Computer Fundamentals, Internet, MS Office, Operating Systems.

Important Points to Remember:

  • There is a negative marking of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer in both the Preliminary and Mains examinations.
  • Candidates need to clear the Preliminary Examination to be eligible to appear for the Mains Examination.
  • Final selection is based on the candidate's performance in both the Preliminary and Mains examinations.
